“You can’t cage an eagle for long without destroying it.” ― Patricia Briggs
Dedicated to my darling sister, Kay, whom was murdered 6 years ago on May 26 by her estranged husband. I will love you forever and always, until the end of time.
~~~While chatting with the science teacher today, I notice a small plastic bag with a dragonfly inside. Me being me, I pick up the bag to get a closer look. I glare into it like one of those stupid human beings gawking at zoo animals. To be truthful, I detest animals locked up, monkey’s running to and fro from boredom, silverback gorillas stuck behind smeared glass, and the king of the jungle caged up like a trophy.
~On May 26, 2010, I died.
My darling sister RISES from the grave every. single. day.
~Every morning I wake up and forget just for a second that it happened. But once my eyes open, it buries me like a landslide of sharp, sad rocks.—Sarah Ockler, Sisters
—Ever have a month without muse, without words, without poetry, without soul?
Well, I’m having one of those months, my darlings.
So, I shall post random, irrelevant things that make me smile hugely and fully.
The moment I experienced gratitude is the moment my healing started– Kim Sisto Robinson
This photo is my all time favorite of Kay. She is FREE! Free! Free!
I distinctly recall somebody during my mad, suicidal stage after Kay’s murder making this comment— “You should really consider your blessings.”
