The Madonna Experience

Prima Donna, Madonna, looking Marvelously Unbelievable at 54.

~The  absolute coolest thing about having your own
website is you can walk up to random strangers at a Madonna Concert and say
“Hey, can I take your picture for my blog?”

And of course,  they
all said Yes!

Adorable in Red!

4 girls wore the same dresses to the concert.  I kinda dig it.

When I asked her if I could take her photo, she said “HElllllLL, YEAH!”

Female Bonding At Madonna.  Love it.

The pretty  girl on the left said -“Wait, take my card!”  When I looked at it later, her picture on the card was quite erotic….she was dressed in leopard lingerie and 50 shades of grey whips.    Apparently her name was Mistress Jean.  Omgggosh.  Mr.  L.  got the biggest kick outta that.

“Ohhh, I LOVE your cone bras, girls!”

His name is David.  What a little doll face!

A Masculine Madonna.  Oh, My!

“Show me that belt buckle!”

Madonna and her boy toys.

“Are you registered to vote, you fuckers?”  I didn’t ask.  Madonna did.

Excuse me, but this was after several glasses of Vogue and Red Wine.

The next day for breakfast w/ one of my best friends, Jeanie.

Oh, I almost forgot.  Madonna showing the audience her tighter than hell ASS!

—–Dear Reader,  what was the best concert you’ve ever gone to?  What is your favorite Madonna song?

I should. During Drowned World she took us on a spiritual journey that she was going through as well. The balance of light and dark was beautiful her images along with sound is why my blog has music. Because after that show I began to write along with music. So most of my posts go to the beat of the song that starts when the site kicks in. I was shy and insecure expressing my thoughts in another language the music gave me a rhythm one that would and could make sense of the language barrier. Now I think I get my point across. Not always but most of the time.

My high school students did a skit for the student body and a good many parents back when Madonna was really big. One girl wore a cone bra for her Madonna outfit. I thought the principal was going to have a heart attack. The kids did the whole program in Spanish. Hell, I was proud of them.

Wonderful pictures, loved that you got to go and that you took pictures to share!

Favorite Madonna song, hard to pick: Live to Tell or Papa Don’t Preach

Best Concert? Gad, to hard to pick. But here are a few that I still look back on with great fondness:

    Lyle Lovett, 1992
    Millie Jackson, 1980
    Rufus w/ Chaka Khan, 1975
    Earth, Wind and Fire, 1977
    Parliment, Mothership Connection Tour 1976
    Santana, 1971

Each of the above, while being great concerts by themselves also had special meanings for me as well.

Whenever I see that hand dryer next to the “hand-wash”, I think of Madonna in Desperately Seeking Susan, drying her underarms. So cute.

Another funny memory is – there was this Madonna video on TV – I remember it was Cherish – and when a closeup of her face came on – Vidur, who was just three months old – gurgled and said “oway” (that’s what he always said when he saw me) and we found that very hilarious.

Now let’s see – favorite Madonna song: very tough to pick, Kim. I love “Borderline”, “Rain”, “Crazy for you” “Live to tell” …and of course “Like a prayer” loved the video for “Vogue” – and overall, love her style. She’s in such fabulous shape.

Your photos are such fun! Did you enjoy the show? Hugs!

I love that her fans came in costume. She is one of the artists (and they are not many) who have a strong brand, are unique, set, rather than follow the trends. I’ve never been a huge fan, but I’ve always admired her business savvy, her moxie, her style, and of course, what a body. Kim, you captured some wonderful pictures. It’s hard to pick a favorite. Hi Kim,

I was there and saw all of the great sights you did! The “pre game” activities were almost as fun as the concert. I did not get any pictures as my phone camera decided not to cooperate that night and my friend didn’t know how to use her’s so I’m glad we got yours. You have some memorable shots.

My attendence was kind of impromtu as friends called last minute and asked if I wanted to go with them and in my excitement I completely forgot that you were going to be there. I would have found you somehow. In fact, I’m kind of suprised I didn’t see you – we clearly saw MANY of the same sights!

Material Girl? Express Yourself? I can’t choose one.

And those pics are fantastic! How fun. I would love to see her majesty in concert.

Mistress Jean sounds like a professional dominatrix. They exist.

One of the things that I love about Madonna – and there are so many things – is that she seems totally confident and comfortable in her own skin. Another thing that surprised me about her is that her “Like a Virgin” ensemble is so very tiny. It’s on display at the Universal City Hard Rock Cafe (or at least it was), the last time I visited there. Madonna comes off with her persona about twice as large as the average woman, but in physical body, she’s a little bitty thing. It’s all spirit, and… projection is not quite the right word I want, more like she exudes power, femininity, and confidence.

I have another friend, not a rock star, who is about 5 foot 10, and perhaps 300 pounds. And she reminds me of Madonna – or vice versa. She has the same ultra-confidence, she exudes the same sensuality, and she is helping me see that it’s not about size or shape or age, it’s what you’re putting out there. If what you are putting out there is, “I am sexy, and I know everyone wants me,” then everyone will.

      I UNDERSTAND completely.

It is about what one exudes from her being…

This is perfectly expressed by you, Beverly.

Xxx Madonna is a size 2…but she is 20 feet tall.
