In Memory of Kay

Laughing. Praying. Loving.

–The veil must have fallen slowly over the night….

because I awaken hurting
fucking hurting  hurting.

I tell Mr. Liverpool,
“My heart hurts today.”

And he says, “I know.”

How did he know?

I say,  “I’m extra
lonesome today.”

And he says,  “Lean on

I’m trying to.  I
really am.

I say, “How can I be homesick when I’m already home?”

And he says,  “You’ll
always be homesick for her.”

Always.   Always.   Always.

He says,  “You’re

“I am?”

“Yes, you are.”

“I dreamed Kay and I were together all night long,” I say.

“What were you doing?”

He grasps my hand.
“That’s a good dream.”

“It was a beautiful dream.”

“Do you want me to go  to the cemetery with you today?”

“Yes.  Yes, I do.”

“We can hang those chimes.”

“Okay. It’s too damn quiet up there.  Kay needs some music.”

“I love you.” He says.

Even though what you are having to live through is unfair, you are indeed lucky to have such a wonderful husband by your side. Someone to hold you through the pain and love you just the way you are everyday. Mind you, we do that too over the internet, but it’s only a little top-up.

    A big hug to Mr.Liverpool.
I know Kay can hear the music, Kim. Sit comfortably, Close your eyes, rest your palms on your thighs, lean back a little, relax and focus. Look into your heart….your soul….and you’ll see Kay smiling at you, as you smile back automatically. Imagine that you feel the gentle pressure of your hands on yours. She lives in your heart and spirit. She wishes you peace.

Those chimes are lovely (Thank you, Kelly) and the basket is so pretty, just like Kay. One day, when I meet you, we’ll go visit together. I wish I had known her.

Hugs, laughter, prayer and love coming your way….into your heart.

    Dear, Dear Blessing, Kim ~

I thought of you and your Sister as I was digging in the earth on the North side of the house today….wondering if you might “toot” if you went by – perhaps I could feel you both – immersed in that same heart space of earth – that dimension we never thought we would find ourselves. The earth was cooling and comforting …. a sacred connection of sorts ~

When my husband and I had our green house – we refused to fill cemetery baskets. Instead, we offered “Celebrate Life” baskets – “select the color you would like me to spray paint this basket …, we don’t offer ‘cemetery green’ as a color – please choose a color that fits the celebration of your loved ones life……(smiles).

Vibrant, loud, exciting ~ screaming out loud of this precious, precious life so loved ~ a great big kiss for the world ~~~ how beautiful!

    ~ Yep, connected ~

Love in abundance and then some more

You are so blessed to have someone who simply stands by your shoulder, supporting you and holding you up through your pain. There are no words other gift, than “I am here” any person can give to you, that he stands by you and gives you these is so generous and so loving. Hurting for you, hurting with you. I am so happy that you have Mr Liverpool by your side. I adored the flowers and the chimes and am certain that Kay does too.

I’ve been trying for 2 years to describe the “Missing” in words, but it’s much too deep and profound….for even that.

Last summer I visited Kay’s grave. I felt as if I was welcomed with the chimes blowing in the wind. I’m so sorry for what you are going thru, I dream about Kay too, sometimes you are there too and your family. It is very hard. I’m glad you have your precious husband and family to help you.

Love and prays to you all. ~ Annette

P.S. You are awesome with all you do, you are so brave.

      –Hi, Annette,
I thank you so much for ALL of your support.

I looooove that you felt welcomed by the chimes blowing in the wind.

Somebody told me that the chimes music was “Kay was blowing them kisses.”

      I so looooove that!

And the next time Kay is in your dream, you can dance to the music of the chimes. What fun it will be!

Next time you see Mr. Liverpool, give him a squeeze. When he asks why, tell him you heard the chimes. I hope you have a matching set at your house to keep your spirit company, too.

    Much love,
