Crazy Chick

~~Humor
Blogger  Extraordinaire, Lafemmeroar,
Interviewed me for her Crazy Chick Segment.  Please visit her blog immediately after you
read this!

~Why are
you a Crazy Chick?

I’ve always been
attracted to crazy, unconventional, unusual chicks. For example, Madonna,
Sylvia Plath, Anne Sexton, Dorothy Parker, Amy Winehouse, and Lady Gaga. You
know, people who others think are strange and abnormal. I identify w/ them. I
kind of have a soft spot for them. I am them.

Sylvia Plath quotes pic from tumblr

~Describe
your blog in three words
.

Raw. Authentic.
Passionate.

~What is
the title of your favorite post? Why?

What Not To Say To A Mourning Girl

Because it’s an
honest, raw post about educating  dumb asses people about mourning.

~If you could
eat one food item for the rest of your life what would it be and why?

Warm chocolate chip
cookies… Every bite is like a piece of my childhood.

~Do you
prefer to cook or eat out?

Are you kidding? Eat
Out! I adore being pampered, spoiled & waited on. I am extremely Paris
Hilton w/out the bitchy attitude and Chihuahua . Just ask Mr. Liverpool.

~Describe
your fashion style.

If we met, I’d most
likely have on a black top, skinny jeans, a scarf wrapped around my neck &
cool black boots. And I always wear Lipstick.

~Define
the word sexy.

Confidence. The way a
person moves. This individual doesn’t need to be physically attractive. Once I
worked with a black jack dealer who all the guys raved over. I didn’t get it.
She wasn’t even pretty. I asked the pit boss, “What’s with all the guys diggin’
Collette?” He said, “have you watched her walk? She moves like water.”

~What’s
your favorite: book, movie, music and television show
?

My all time favorite
book is Lolita. Movie: Spartacus (the one from the 50’s )
Television show: Modern Family

~What
makes you mad?

Cruelty.    Nastiness.    Violence.   Plastic People.

~What makes
you happy?

My family. Chocolate
chip cookies. Red Wine  (Cupcake, preferably.)  God. Love. Sushi. My angel friends. Words. Blogging.
Cats. Sun. Poetry. Baking. Writing.

~What
makes you sad?

Knowing I will not
see or talk to my sister again on this earth. It’s unfathomable.

~What’s
your favorite color?

Royal blue.

~What are
you most grateful for in this world?

My family. God. My boys.  My
angel friends. Mr. Liverpool.  Dove Chocolate.

~What is
the one achievement that makes you the most proud?

Graduating  Summa Cum Laude from college 4 years ago, & my boys watching me receive my degree.

~If you
could go back in time, what is the one thing you would change?

I would have found my sister
a safe house so her murderer couldn’t find her.   But he did.

~If you
had super powers, what would it be and why?

O, My….I’d want to
wiggle my nose like Bewitched & have my house absolutely spotless with
dinner on the table. Every. Single. Night

~What is
your dream job?

1. writing 2. writing
3. writing

~Describe
your craziest day.

I can’t …because I
don’t want to cry. ( Again )

~What
would you do if today were your last day on earth?

I’d want to be with
my entire family and angel friends to eat wonderful food, drink good wine, pray beautiful
prayers, & have captivating conversation. Just loving loving loving one another until the
end…

Sexy to me is someone who can talk to anyone and make them feel special. I have friends like this who aren’t beautiful but will have many guys and girls they talk to and introduce to other people. They flock to this person. I am always amazed.

My fashion style changes frequently. I like mostly classics with a little sexy edge. Having kids around is always a good thing. If you ask, they will tell the truth. I think you can look like a million bucks on a budget. It’s all about how you put it together.
My favorite color cannot be one. I can’t do it. I LOVE sour apple green, and I LOVE purple and I LOVE hot pink, and I love aqua and sea blue/green. If you see my house, you will understand. I incorporate color everywhere,
What makes me sad is my daughter. She has been gone for 2 years now. Lost to heroin.

Loved this interview, Kim. I’m currently re-reading Sylvia Plath’s The Bell Jar. Awesome book. I love her writing style. And, if you like Sexton, have you read, “Searching for Mercy Street: My Journey Back to My Mother, Anne Sexton,” written by Linda Gray Sexton? It is wonderful, powerful, emotional. I once loaned to someone and never got it back. So I bought myself another copy, that’s how good it is.

Kim, you are an amazing woman and I love how you honestly share with us, and how you are able to remember your sister, and yet show off some stunning shoes, all in one post. I love cobalt blue, too! You’ve got style!

What you mentioned about sexiness is so true. I was once knew a girl in college who wasn’t particularly pretty but all the guys wanted to date her. She had this confidence about her. Like she knew she had something to offer that no one else did.

If I could have any super power, it would definitely be having the ability to mute people, especially my children when they’re whining.

Awesome Kim, as always! You are fabulous but I am sure you know it, anyway I like to say it again!
Love these answers, always straight from the heart. It’s funny how reading you make me feel close to you when we are miles and countries apart!

What is the one achievement that makes me the most proud? Following my heart and marrying the man I love despite all the odd/crazy looks and comments.

    Keep rocking girl! xo

Oh Kim, I wish we could meet! You just sound like someone…interesting. Someone real, vocal and insecure, someone I’d really like.
Maybe one day, you’ll come all the way to France to sample my amazing chocolate mousse with a glass of Sauternes…
Until that day comes, big virtual hugs! xoxo
