    Hmmm…some of my favorite whites….

This is hard. White is not my color. I mean, I’m caucasian so I guess “technically” it’s my color but I’m still not a big fan. If I say marshmallow, that wouldn’t be true because I only like a marshmallow after I burn it until black over the campfire.

I can’t say white shoes because I loathe them. You know why? Because I will step in mud or drop red paint on them. This is what happens to a clumsy person.

I wear white socks. I guess I can say I like them, right? And I like white eye shadow as my base shadow. Ok, so there you have it. Two white items that I like! YAY ME!

I don’t wear white because I ALWAYS wear a little bit of what I’m eating (sad, but true). If I wear white, it always falls in the worst places!

….but when it comes to white foods (you know me – I’m all about food). A tall, cold glass of milk, cream that’s been whipped by hand, coconut, ice-cream, egg whites whipped frothy with sugar….wedding cakes and (sentimentally) coconut macaroons!

    *sigh* now I’m hungry!

Fun, FAB post, as always Kim!

Okay, since I love you and I LOVE FASHION and this is such a white-hot blog … I love wearing my Paige tight white jeans in the winter with a big ol’ comfy sweather. And high-heeled boots to boot. I’ll try to take a picture this winter to send you. If I can fit in those jeans after you feed me all those marshmallows. And icing. Don’t forget the icing. I love you Kim!

Mmm. My favorite white is yogurt (we call it curds). I also like cold milk.

I am thinking of painting some doors white. I love white Tshirts. I have a pretty white negligee in slinky satin and crochet-ed straps, which I’ve never worn. It sits in my wardrobe. :-).

Our folks here in North India wear white to funerals.

Kim – I still remember the first ever time I visited your site – you had a post on the color green and I fell in love. Not that green is my favorite color, but the way you presented it was simply superb.

Am guessing that it is out of respect to the deceased soul – his soul is at peace and free from all material and worldly desires – pure – innocent again – and so they wear white. In South India, traditionally, old widows shave their heads off and wear white or beige sarees with a thin red border. My grandmother used to. 🙂

I have a Prada handbag in white that was so beautiful when I bought it. Damn thing yellowed within the year. Every time I think about the money I spent on that bag (not to mention the fact that it picked up a tinge of blue from rubbing against my jeans when I carried it) it makes me want to cry. Today, in this economy, I wouldn’t even DREAM of spending that kind of money on a handbag. But for a fleeting moment? Boy was it pretty.

I so love the color white. I have dreams of a house furnished in shades of white with vases of pink flowers scattered throughout, bleached white floors, lace sheers, overstuffed white furniture, everything muted whites. My closet would be filled with linen and silk. Everywhere… In my dream world I never accounted for the dirty kids, the husband that brings in dust and dirty on my floors. OR that my curvy too short body does not look good in white. Thus my house is everything but white. Still, that didn’t stop me from drooling through the post and dreaming of an alternative universe.

If I didn’t have two dogs and a cat all competing for a spot on my queen sized bed in between Hot Joe and I, my dream room would have white white white all over the bed. Our dressers are black, but really I only care about the bed. Fluffy white bed spread, lots of white pillows (maybe an accent color – okay), and a white throw. Sadly, this shall never happen.

I’m another slob who can’t wear white for 5 minutes without being covered in something (three boys and their ick doesn’t help)…

…but my favourite white is definitely the snow! I know I’ll tire of it one day but for now London has only graced us with snow a few times and the excitement in this house when snow has been predicted (mainly me, but you know…excitement is contagious) is electric. I luuurve our beautiful woodland covered in a layer of that glorious white stuff and watching my kids rolling around in it pelting snow balls at each other just hasn’t gotten old for me yet.

Oh and a cup of hot cocoa (with a nip of rum) and some fluffy White marshmallows after a day out in the snow sounds heavenly too. Maybe some white choc chip cookies on the side (with REALLY big chunks of white chocolate to boot)? Oooh and on a warmer day Macadamia nut ice cream would be my “white” of choice.

I always love your “colour” posts with all the fantastic imagery 🙂

“Mr Liverpool” make perfect sense now then 🙂 Gotta love a good English accent 😉

We had a nice amount of snow last year (enough for snow men and snow angels which isn’t always the case in London). London didn’t get as much as the rest of the U.K but enough to make me smile 🙂

Chocolate chip anything sounds good at any time of day or year, I’m not fussy 😉

WHITE MUSTANGS! The car, not the horse.

LOVE LOVE LOVE a white mustang, convertible preferably! With a white interior!

I love to wear white, but it doesn’t like me. I will sure as hell get a dirt spot on it no matter how hard I try to be clean. A nice crisp white, button down shirt with a v-neck sweater over it…CLASSIC!
