For My Hero. Happy Father’s Day.

~~~Dear, Daddy.
I love you more than all of the Dove Chocolate Bars in the world.
I love you for your non-judgmental observations.
I love you even though you’re Republican.
I love you even though you’d vote for Sarah Palin for President.
I love you because you read every.  single.  blog.  and not once..did you mention or discipline me for utilizing the word “Fuck.”
I love you for listening to others even if they don’t return the favor.
I love you for making “Bob Sisto Specials.”
I love you for teaching me about God.
I love you for understanding my ANGER at God.
I love you for being the only father that Kay’s boys ever recognized.
I love you for  sipping double Lattes’ with me at Beaners.
I love you for the M&Ms you ALWAYS have inside your glass bowls when I visit your house.
I love you for educating me about the old movies—like Casablanca, To Have and Have Not,  & African Queen.
I love you for bringing Kay & I out every Christmas for Dinner & Shopping (while you sat in the car listening to ball games in the dead of winter!)
I love you for listening to me cry cry cry…talk talk talk…whine whine whine
I love you because you loved me first.
I love you for laughing at my idiotic jokes.
I love you for telling me about the books you read.
I love that you….   Hear me…..See me.
I love you for being a great husband to my mother (Saint Shirley)
I love you for being a devoted father to Kay, Alan, & Me!
I love you for being my true & ultimate HERO.
Always.  Forever.  Forever…..Until the End of Time…..
    This was awesome sauce! Your Dad sounds like your pal too. How wonderful! And I chuckled at the “I love you even though you’re Republican. I love you even though you’d vote for Sarah Palin for President.” I chuckled, but I sure hope the Sarah Palin part never comes to fruition.
    “You just put your lips together and blow.”
    I’m whistling after reading this, girl! This was so beautiful beyond words, a wonderful tribute. I must say I envy what you have with your father. A lot of girls (myself included) are not as fortunate as you and Kay.
    Happy Fathers Day to your dad, and thanks for sharing this!
    Love,
    Tara
    Kim, what a beautiful Father’s Day tribute to your dad! I read his reply to you and I have to say it seems like your family bond is so strong! What a beautiful thing! In the midst of despair, tragedy and crisis, nothing gets us through better than the love of our family. Don’t you agree?
    Kim,
    I agree, Bobby Sisto is a great Dad and a good friend to all who know him. I loved your tribute and the picture of him and his girls is beyond words.
    Your writing makes me laugh out loud, cry, smile…..I think of those crazy days at Curves…you lit up the room when you walked in. And several times, Kay came late and added the spice,
    Have a good week,
    Sissy
    I am so glad you have your dad so close, so close he can write back, so close that he reads your blog (I always look to see if he comments because I have seen him hear before) I like to think my Dad, if he were still here, would read and reply. Love him always, even if he votes for Sarah. 🙂 Kim and Kay’s Dad, I hope you had wonderful day.
