A Royal Affair

~~I loooove Royalty.

Yeah, babe,  I will be one of those millions of people watching the most eligible bachelor in the world, William, marry the elegant, Catherine Middleton.

:::::::::::::::::SIGH:::::::::::::::

I will be in London.  (in spirit, of course)

What did you think… That just because  hubby dwells from jolly old England, that we received an invite?

A girl can dream…can’t she?

Like I said;  I will be there.

But not for the reasons you may think.

I will be holding my breath.

I will be inhaling …  exhaling.

Waiting….waiting…waiting…

YES!

For that moment…

That ultimate moment….

To see what the “she’s going to be a freaking PRINCESS,”  Catherine Middleton, will be wearing.

If it were me.

If I were Catherine Middleton…

….here are some extraordinary dresses that I would consider wearing for my Prince (King).

Yes! Kate will not be over-board like Diana…more simple, classic, I think. 🙂 x

          ~~Lorraine,
I have always adored Lady Diana.
I have a feeling that Kate will make a difference
          like Diana did, too.
Perhaps shake things up a bit in Buckinham Palace.
Diana was a Super Model & Humanitarian. xxx

I will be up before 4 AM to get a good seat and the cats and Miz Ruby and I will be watching and cheering.

I know, can you imagine?!?! One minute, you’re just a middle-class, run of the mill gal. The next, you’re marrying a PRINCE!!! I adore Kate, though. She’s so beautiful, so whatever she wears will be gorgeous.

Personally, I’m a fan of the “mermaid” dress (you know, the hip-hugging type). I don’t do poofy. 🙂 For instance, Diana’s dress is NOT my idea of beautiful. She’s drowning in the damn thing!

      Tara,
      I agree….Diana’s dress was perfect for the 80s! Over-Endulgent.

But Kate will be classic, simple, chic….less is More kind of thing.

I lke the Merry on the Moors dress. I’m sure that Kate’s dress will be less foofoo than Diana’s- more sophisticated. Do you think the Royal family has dictated what kind of dress she can wear? Not too strapless? Not too much cleavage? I’ll be watching in my jammies with tea and crumpets!

      Crumpets & Tea! Yes!
Joan, Kate has definetely picked her own designer, but
      NO cleavage (i am sure)
but strapless might be okay. xxxx

    I’m lovin’ the Pure Perfection!

But I don’t envy Katherine. It’s one thing to be a celeb, but she’s got a daunting task ahead of her. Always under scrutiny, the public microscope. ANYTHING she says or does will be judged.

I do know she’ll be able to withstand anything that is thrown at her. She’s bright. She’ll be able to handle it.

I will say they are a very handsome couple!

    Yes, Irene,
I think the media should be ordered at least one mile away from this sweet couple.
    I despise those parasites. Snakes.
Kate knows Exactly what she’s getting into….
The question is: IS it worth it?
    For Love. Yes.

My favorites are White Whimsical Magic and Luxurious Lace. Of course, I will be watching the wedding. I love romance…..and when it’s taken to the Royal level, well, that’s something not to be missed. I have to get up at 4 am to watch, but I am looking forward to it. Everyone loves a Princess and her Prince! (big sigh)

I think we should all go try on wedding dresses en masse, just for the heck of it! 🙂 (Lawd, my daughter would turn pale if she read that!)

I refuse to pick just one! (Might explain why I was married more than… ahem… once…) 😀

I’m with Pure Perfection – the first dress. It really is stunning!

But, I have no interest whatsoever with the whole Royal Wedding thing. We have 3 million kids living under the poverty line in this country, and although Kate’s family is paying a whack towards it, the British taxpayer is still footing the bill for massive security. I just think it’s incredibly insensitive and selfish for them to be flaunting such wealth and extravagence when billions of people in this country are struggling to put food on the table.

Sorry for the rant 🙂 XX

      My Hubby is from Liverpool…
and we argue about this all the time, Tiny.
He despises the Royal Family….calls them
a waste of time….at the expense of taxpayers.
      But…………..I LOVE THEM….
      Looooooooooooved Diana…
and now I LOVE KATE 🙂

No matter what you might say against royalty itself, Prince William and new bride Kate Middleton are beyond any doubt nice people – as a helicopter pilot he was involved in two mountain rescues just this week! Good for him!
