Totally Chocolate Chip Cookies, Baby.

                      Totally Chocolate Chip Cookies

                                     by Nigella Lawson

~These chocolatly devils are not for the faint of heart, baby…..With 3 different forms of chocolate, they suddenly become  your best friend, your comforter, and your sweet  looovah on a lonely night.

 They will melt in your mouth like the best kiss you ever had!  Ooohhhh…

                                    Nigella Lawson My all time favorite domestic goddessNigella Lawson.

4 ounces dark chocolate (You can use candy bars broken up, chocolate chips, or baking chocolate)
1 1/2 cups minus 1 1/2 tablespoon  all purpose flour (It was actually 1.4 cups so I improvised)
4 tablespoons cocoa sifted
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 stick butter softened
1/2 cup brown sugar packed
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips (Nigella used Nestle on her show!)

Preheat oven to 325
Spread parchment on 2 cookie sheets and get a icecream scoop sprayed with cooking spray or oiled.
Microwave the 4 ounces of dark chcolate until melted, 1 minute, and stir out lumps.
Cream both sugars and butter until creamy.
Whisk the dry ingredients in a large bowl and set aside.
With the mixer running add the slightly cooled chocolate you melted.
Again while still running add the egg and vanilla to the sugar/butter mixture and then mix in the dry just until blender.
Fold in the chocolate chips.

Using the ice-cream scoop, scoop out exactly 12 balls (loosely packing) and then scraping the knife across to remove excess dough. If you don’t over pack you will have 12 balls. Do not press down as they will flatten while baking. Place 6 on each sheet and place one sheet pan in the fridge until ready to bake.
Bake each sheet pan individually for 18-21 minutes. You will know they are ready when a toothpick comes out of the center semi-clean.
 Allow to cool for 5 minutes and then place the cookies on a rack to cool.

                ~~~~   Watch Nigella bake these cookies here!       (she bakes them for her girlfriend who needs comfort & chocolate after breaking up with some jerk)
Even Nigella Lawson has bad days  Nigella ~Nigella is simply spectacular.   She makes one want to sit in her kitchen cross-legged  to listen & learn….and of course, her voice is like Puuuure Poetry!
